AMAZING SUPPORT – THANK YOU – WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL
Kinlochewe Primary School is a small school and we never take for granted how well we are supported by our local community and by visitors to the area. Fundraising is very important to us. We raise funds to supplement the work of the school and to provide learning opportunities we would otherwise struggle to be able to afford. We also fundraise on an annual basis for many different charities.
We would like to say a very big thank you to all of our community, friends, visitors and businesses who support our fundraising efforts. These include: summer fairs, quiz nights at the Kinlochewe Hotel, the springtime Daffodil Tea, and the annual Christmas Pantomime. We run a prize draw at the annual Bealach Mor cycling sportive and we have had great local support in making and selling postcards and Christmas cards. We have also received some very generous donations from the Highland Hill Runners, the Kinlochewe Trustees and local individuals. Thank You.
In 2013 we joined Easyfundraising in order to receive donations from online retailers when customers are willing to register their support for the school. This is an effective, ongoing source of funds and we’d like to thank everyone who is participating.

DONATIONS 2016-2017 – THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.
Thank you to Gail and Andrew at the Kinlochewe Hotel for their continued support with their donation of £170 which they raised from their “Guess the knitted toy’s birthday Raffle” drawn in November 2016.
Thank you once again to the Village Hall Trustees for their generous donation of £350 in January 2017.
We would also like to thank Lis Broome for inviting us all to the Whistle Stop Cafe in November and providing us with such a lovely afternoon of tea, juice and scones.
We really do appreciate all the generous donations and continuing support we get from the local community.
Here’s how we use it:
Improving our outdoor space and promoting sporting activities
We’ve used donations to make a bike shed, two benches, gravel our garden pathway and acquire a greenhouse. Our first ever school football strip was also kindly donated.
End of year activity trips
2011 Raasay House Activity Centre
In June 2011 the children went by ferry to Raasay House Activity Centre where they did Canadian canoeing, kayaking, crating and P1-3 went through the woods on a treasure hunt to find the silver troll who was stealing all the cutlery!

SPORT RELIEF March 2016
We have supported Children in Need, Comic Relief and Sport Relief for a number of years and the children are always enthusiastic about helping people less fortunate than themselves. This year everyone excelled themselves for Sport Relief and we raised a massive £790.00! Most children walked the 5 miles around the Coulin Estate but Amelia Rose-Bristow and Kirsty Macdonald, supported by Mimi’s mum and Gran, walked 11 miles from Torridon to Kinlochewe. 2016 is Mimi’s last year in school here and she wanted to do something worthwhile and walk her daily travelled route before she left. She set up her own Giving Page and raised £330.00! Well Done Mimi! And THANK YOU to Lis Broome at the Whistlestop Cafe who invited us for scones and refreshments at the end of our walk!
