We would like to say a big thank you to Hands on Events and the cyclists of the Bealach Mor Sportiv. This is an annual autumn event that starts and finishes in Kinlochewe. The route is 90 miles long and includes the Bealach, the biggest road climb in the UK.
For the past 5 years we have run a prize draw during the registration periods before the event. The organisers and the cyclists have been unfailingly supportive and brilliantly generous. Many thanks from us all.
Our thanks again to everyone who supported our prize draw. This year we made £482 from ticket sales and £72.50 from the sale of our postcards. Sadly we do not have the name of the person who won the £100 prize. He VERY kindly donated his prize money to the school so we should like to say a very big THANK YOU! You know who you are!
We’re beginning to recognise many of the cyclists now and enjoy following their progress. This year we raised £421 on our prize draw and also sold £68 worth of our Lochmaree postcards.Congratulations to all who battled through the rain.
This year’s £100 prize was won by
Gareth McIntyre from Aberdeen – congratulations.
We would like to thank the organisers, Hands on Events, and all the participants of the Bealach Mor Cycle event for their helpfulness, generosity and good humoured support of our prize draw and postcard stall. We made a total of over £600. This includes the £100 prize which was very kindly returned by the draw winner:
Murray Douglas of Senergy Development Solutions.
Big thank you Murray!
